Who: Boys aged between 12 and 13 years old
 

What: To enable players to start exploring roles within different formats of cricket and experience challenges posed by the different phases.
 

How: The ICC Academy U13’s will sample different scenarios within the game and experience challenges to adapt to develop game-winning habits. The ICC Academy U13’s will be developed upon the following:

• Batting: Ability to play straight, identify gaps and pick up line and length, Understand decision making against spin bowlers.
• Bowling: Develop strong bowling mechanics - an action that is repeatable and will minimize injury, ability to control the ball adequately, sample and understand swing bowling techniques.
• Fielding: Ability to anticipate the ball when in the field, develop strong fundamentals and generate power with short and long throws combined with advanced fitness movements.
• Tactics: Gain strong understanding of games based tactics, understand and lead fielding changes. Other: Develop future leaders, provide ownership to Individuals, develop greater depth in theory & laws of the game (Classroom Session)
